Broccoli with Avocado and Sesame

Ingredients

Dressing

  • 1 large avocado, halved
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon tamari
  • 1 garlic clove, sliced
  • 1 tablespoons water

    Other ingredients

    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 bunch broccoli, chopped
    • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Toasted sesame seeds and cilantro for serving

        Directions

        1. In a blender or food processor, combine the ingredients for the dressing. Set aside.
        2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the broccoli into the skillet and season with salt and pepper.
        3. Cook for 7-8 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally. If the skillet becomes too dry, add a couple tablespoons of water at a time. This will also help the broccoli steam.
        4. Once the broccoli is cooked, place it in a serving dish of your choice and drizzle with the dressing.
